Key Qualifications:

• Completion of two years of college credits from an accredited institution, an associate degree (or higher), or a passing score on an approved academic assessment (such as ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher)
• Alternatively, meeting competencies listed in the MDE-approved competency grid
• PCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one (free and under one hour to complete)
• A minimum of one year of experience working with school-aged children in a professional capacity
• Preferred: Over two years of experience as a paraprofessional within a school setting

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct classroom support to students with diverse and high-needs, fostering their independence and academic growth
• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Support daily classroom operations, including behavior management and instructional activities
