Retail Staff Pharmacist in Kennard, TX

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Retail Pharmacist to provide coverage for a maternity leave from December 2026 through February 2027 in Kennard, TX. This contract role offers flexibility in scheduling to accommodate your preferences, with store hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and two available shifts:

• 1st Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (options to work shorter hours between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM)
• 2nd Shift: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (options to work shorter hours between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Model and uphold core company values consistently
• Deliver exceptional customer service following established protocols
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy-related regulations including HIPAA
• Perform final verification of prescriptions from authorized prescribers
• Provide detailed drug information including interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage
• Maintain quality assurance, secure controlled substances, and handle hazardous waste disposal according to guidelines
• Manage pharmacist-related phone calls and retrieve messages and prescriptions from voicemail
• Conduct patient counseling as required or requested
• Resolve customer conflicts thoughtfully both in-person and via telephone

Please note that this location does not administer vaccinations or conduct medication therapy management (MTM) services.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent pharmacy experience
• Active and clear Texas pharmacist license
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX software system
