About the Opportunity

We’re hiring Packaging Associates for a fast-growing snack food manufacturer in Muskego. The company makes kettle-cooked potato and sweet potato chips and veggie straws cooked in avocado oil, made from non-GMO ingredients and sold at major national retailers. The plant has grown quickly over the last few years, with new production lines, more kettles, and a new warehouse. That growth means steady work and room to move up for people who show up and do good work.

What You’ll Do

Run and support high-speed packaging lines that weigh, bag, and seal finished chips and snacks

Build cases, pack finished bags, and stack pallets to spec

Keep the line supplied with film, boxes, labels, and other materials

Check bags for correct weight, seal, date code, and labeling, and pull product that doesn’t meet quality standards

Watch for jams and equipment problems and report them to the line lead or maintenance

Help with changeovers between products and flavors

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety rules, and allergen controls at all times

Keep your work area clean and organized, including end-of-run sanitation

Rotate between packaging, seasoning, and other production areas as needed

What We’re Looking For

Packaging, production, or food manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. We’ll train you.

Reliable attendance and on-time arrival

Able to follow written and verbal instructions and work as part of a team

Attention to detail and pride in a quality product

Comfortable in a fast-paced production setting

Physical Requirements

Stand and walk for a full shift

Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly

Bend, reach, and do repetitive hand motions

Work in a food plant with machine noise and temperatures that vary

Wear required PPE, including hairnets, beard nets, gloves, and safety glasses

No jewelry on the production floor (company food safety policy)

Requirements

Must pass a background check and drug screen

Must complete required safety and food safety training before starting

A few things to check before you post it:

I used 50 lbs for the lifting limit because it’s typical for food packaging work. Jackson’s hasn’t published a number, so confirm it with them.

I put the background check, drug screen, and training requirements in because they apply to all Jackson’s placements. You can remove that section if you’d rather cover it during screening.

I left pay out on purpose. Add your pay range if the job board or local pay-transparency rules call for it.

Their site doesn’t list food safety certifications, so I kept that section to GMPs.
