Automotive Test Technician - Now Hiring

Join our dynamic team as a Test Technician, where you will utilize your mechanical and electrical skills to support quality and safety testing on various assemblies. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to work with a reputable test laboratory that serves a diverse clientele, including government entities, automobile manufacturers, suppliers, and non-automotive industries.

• Assist engineers with test setups and teardowns, including a wide range of samples such as seats, radiators, instrument panels, and exhaust systems.
• Monitor and check tests periodically for any issues, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality of components.
• Maintain a clean lab environment, storing customer parts properly and ensuring tools are organized and in their designated places.
• Demonstrate computer literacy with Microsoft Windows navigation and digital photo downloads.
• Show responsibility by consistently reporting to work, being dependable, trustworthy, and maintaining a positive attitude.
• Exhibit high self-motivation by accepting challenging assignments and going above and beyond to complete them.

• Mechanical or electrical skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency

• Ability to change oil on vehicles
• Toolbox with basic mechanic set

• Welding
• Customer communication and assistance
• Understanding of hydraulic pumps and systems
• Understanding of hydraulic cylinders and actuators
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
• Soldering
• Painting

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, MI.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
