Location: Pontiac, MI
Schedule: Nights • 12-hour shifts • 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM • 36 hours/week (guaranteed) • Every other weekend

Pay: $35 - $37/hr

Hiring a Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT) for a fast-paced hospital lab supporting high-quality patient diagnostics. This Medical Technologist (MT/MLT) role is ideal for someone confident in blood bank workflows, core lab testing, analyzer troubleshooting, and working independently on nights.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing to support diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention
• Complete chemical analyses on blood, urine, and other body fluids; recognize and report abnormal results
• Perform hematology testing (cell counts/identification) using microscopy and automated analyzers
• Support blood bank processes including blood typing, compatibility testing, and preparation for transfusion
• Maintain quality and compliance by following accreditation standards, QA/QC procedures, and documentation requirements
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab instruments (analyzers, spectrophotometers, colorimeters, etc.)
• Maintain inventory of reagents/supplies; anticipate needs and support uninterrupted operations
• Follow infection control, hazardous waste, and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe workspace
  

Qualifications

• MT/MLT experience (2+ years) required
• Blood bank experience required
• ASCP certification required
• BLS certification required
• Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and ability to prioritize in a high-volume environment
• Comfortable working night shift and rotating weekends
