Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Travel Assignment

Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel assignment. The ideal candidate must have recent PCU experience, be comfortable working in a Surgical PCU environment, and be flexible with floating between assigned campuses as needed. Candidates should be submission-ready and able to start on the scheduled start date or within one week of it.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting.
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Float to other assigned units/campuses based on operational needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of PCU experience.
• Recent PCU experience within the last 12 months.
• Active Arizona RN License at time of submission.
• No disciplinary actions or hits on state license.
• Active BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI approved providers.
• Active ACLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI approved providers.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work in a Surgical PCU environment.
• Must be willing to float as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Flexibility regarding shifts, departments, and work locations.

Submission Requirements

• Complete facility-specific cover page.
• Updated resume including:
• • All facilities worked
  • Departments worked
  • Trauma level of facilities
  • Number of beds at each facility
• PCU Skills Checklist completed within the last 12 months.
• Active RN license verification completed within the last 30 days.
• ACLS Certification.
• BLS Certification.
• Driver’s License.
• Documentation confirming clean license status.

Important Notes

• Candidates must be available to start on the requested start date or within one week.
• Requested Time Off (RTO) cannot exceed 7 days and is not permitted during the first week of assignment.
• All candidates submitted should be pre-closed and prepared to accept an offer.
• Travel nurses who are residents of Arizona are not eligible for Arizona travel assignments.

Certifications Required

• ACLS (AHA or equivalent approved provider)
• BLS (AHA or equivalent approved provider)

License Requirement

• Active Arizona RN License (Compact License accepted if applicable and active at submission).
