Job Title: CNC Programmer

Pay: $30-38/hr (DOE)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

JOB SUMMARY

The CNC Mastercam Programmer generates and optimizes high-precision multi-axis milling and turning programs using Mastercam software. Working closely with manufacturing management, scheduling, engineering, and floor operators. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write, simulate, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for multi-axis horizontal mills, vertical mills, and lathes.
• Continuously refine existing programs to reduce cycle times, maximize tool life, and enhance part finish.
• Collaborate with Engineering to evaluate design-for-manufacturing feasibility and resolve tolerance issues.
• Maintain the shop schedule by delivering verified programs and setup documentation prior to scheduled production runs.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience programming multi-axis CNC mills and lathes exclusively using Mastercam.
• Blueprint & GD&T: Advanced blueprint reading skills; thorough working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Shop Math: Ability to apply trigonometry, geometry, decimals, fractions, and proportions to complex machining setups.
• Systems: Proficient in ERP shop tracking software and basic office applications.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Write and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam software.
• Continually optimize machining processes to reduce cycle times on existing programs.
• Collaborate with Engineering to optimize part design and manufacturing feasibility.
• Understand, develop, and utilize macro programming where applicable.
• Work directly with Shop Floor Supervisors and Machinists on machining techniques, setups, and scheduling priorities.
