Primary Care Medical Assistant

Contract: 11/2/26 – 7/2/27 * could potentially be a contract to hire*

Pay Rate: ~$20-$25

Day to Day

Supporting a primary care clinic with hands-on patient care, including:

• Rooming patients & taking vitals
• Updating patient history/medications in the EMR
• Phlebotomy, EKGs & vaccines
• Assisting providers during exams/procedures
• Collecting/labeling specimens
• Patient check-in/out & follow-up
• Some administrative support including prior auths, referrals, records & phone calls

 Must Haves

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ year Medical Assistant or similar medical-setting experience
• Completed training program such as EMT, CNA or LNA
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician
• Comfortable taking vitals and working in an EMR
• Strong communication, customer service & attention to detail
• Able to work onsite in Springfield, MA

 Plusses

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
• 5 years MA experience
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program
• Medicaid/Medicare or managed-care experience
• Spanish bilingual
• Prior CareSource experience
• Medical billing/coding or insurance coordination background

 Ideal Profile

A hands-on Medical Assistant with strong primary care/clinic experience who can jump into patient flow, vitals, blood draws, EKGs, vaccines and EMR documentation without needing a lot of ramp-up.
