Job Description:

Prepare thin tissue sections for microscopic examination and analysis.
Examine, fix, and process tissue samples to preserve them for testing.
Embed tissue samples in paraffin wax and cut sections using a microtome or cryostat.
Mount tissue sections on slides and stain samples to highlight abnormalities.
Identify factors affecting procedures and test quality, taking corrective action when necessary.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments.
Manage laboratory supplies and maintain quality-control procedures.
