Litigation Paralegal

Based in New York, NY, we are a long-established full-service law firm known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The New York office is expanding and seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Paralegal to join a growing team handling sophisticated construction litigation matters. This role is ideal for a seasoned paralegal who values hands-on case ownership, flexible remote rotation and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft subpoenas, discovery demands and responses and discovery motions, and obtain and review medical records, with accuracy and efficiency
• Prepare cases for mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences and trial
• Electronically file legal documents in New York State and Federal Courts while monitoring court deadlines, discovery schedules and compliance with case management orders
• Take ownership of an active caseload and support attorneys through every stage of litigation

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction litigation experience, with construction defense, insurance coverage or insurance defense experience a plus
• Four-year college degree with availability to work overtime as needed
• Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel (PowerPoint a plus)
