Lead Airframe Design Engineer CATIA / 3DEXPERIENCE

ASKA is developing a hybrid-electric drive-and-fly vehicle. The Lead Airframe Design Engineer leads hands-on airframe mechanical design under the CTO, owning aircraft geometry, structural arrangement, design decisions and design-package quality.

The role leads concept and detailed design trades; creates and reviews 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA parts, surfaces, assemblies and drawings; directs and mentors the Airframe Design Engineer; integrates Loads, Stress and Materials findings into design changes; coordinates propulsion, battery, folding and landing/road-system installation interfaces; supports prototype builds and resolves design issues; and delivers controlled releases with design rationale.

Full-time, on-site or hybrid at Eagle Field Airport, Firebaugh, CA; Bay Area/Palo Alto candidates preferred and relocation candidates welcome. Fully remote is not offered; some remote analysis/design/software work may be possible with client approval. Hands-on development and integration work with coordinated Eagle Field visits is required.
