Sales Project Engineer - Now Hiring

The Sales Project Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the sales organization by providing technical expertise throughout the sales and project lifecycle. This position involves close collaboration with customers and internal teams to understand application requirements, develop system solutions, prepare proposals, and support projects from initial inquiry through to order execution, system delivery, installation, and system startup.

• Work directly with sales and customers to understand customer process requirements, specifications, and application needs.
• Recommend and configure appropriate products and system solutions based on performance, cost, and customer requirements.
• Serve as a technical resource during customer meetings, calls, and presentations.
• Develop accurate and competitive technical proposals, including system configurations, part selections, and technical descriptions.
• Manage proposal revisions based on customer feedback and scope changes.
• Maintain proposal version control and documentation accuracy.
• Create and maintain accurate CRM records to support forecasting, reporting, and order processing.
• Coordinate the transition from sales order to project startup, including documentation packet creation, technical handoff to service teams, and confirmation of project scope.
• Act as a point of contact during the order execution phase for customer-related questions and provide reliable information.
• Coordinate system startup activities with service teams and support during commissioning by addressing technical questions.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience in customer interactions.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Experience in technical sales support and application engineering.

• 23+ years of experience in a related field.

This position requires working on-site for 5 days a week during the first six months of training, after which it transitions to 12 days a week remote work. The team currently consists of three people.

This is a Permanent position based out of Carpentersville, IL.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
