Dishwasher

Kinston Country Club is seeking a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher to help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. This position supports our culinary and service teams by ensuring dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen areas are clean and ready for daily dining, banquets, and club events.

Essential Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

• Operate the dishwashing machine safely and follow proper cleaning procedures.

• Scrape, sort, and organize dishes before washing; return clean items to designated storage areas.

• Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area throughout each shift.

• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, remove trash and recycling, and clean waste containers.

• Assist with cleaning kitchen surfaces, storage areas, and equipment as directed.

• Help receive and store deliveries and supplies.

• Assist with basic food preparation when assigned and properly trained.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and workplace safety procedures.

• Report equipment problems, damaged items, and unsafe conditions promptly.

• Complete opening, closing, and other assigned kitchen duties.

• Work cooperatively with kitchen and service staff during busy meal periods and events.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is helpful; training is available.

• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude.

• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy kitchen.

• Willingness to help teammates and maintain club standards.

• Availability for scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry kitchen supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance as needed.

• Ability to work around heat, steam, water, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen noise.

• Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
