Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Position: Part-Time | Approximately 24 Hours per Week

About Our Practice

North Shore Sleep & TMJ is a specialty practice dedicated to helping patients suffering from obstructive sleep apnea, TMJ disorders, and chronic jaw pain.

We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and motivated Dental/Medical Clinical Assistant to join our team.

Our patients often come to us experiencing significant discomfort, frustration, or anxiety. We believe that empathy, patience, and the ability to make patients feel comfortable and cared for are just as important as clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor with hands-on patient care and clinical procedures.
• Welcome patients and create a warm, comfortable, and reassuring environment.
• Learn and perform digital intraoral scanning.
• Assist with the fitting, adjustment, and delivery of oral appliances for sleep apnea and TMJ treatment.
• Educate patients on appliance use, care, and maintenance.
• Assist with specialized TMJ therapies and procedures.
• Learn and utilize our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system for patient documentation.
• Prepare treatment rooms, maintain instruments, and follow infection control protocols.
• Work closely with the doctor and team to ensure a smooth, positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Dental or medical assisting experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience and the ability to draw blood are highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A caring, empathetic personality with a genuine interest in helping patients.
• Comfortable working directly with patients and learning new clinical techniques.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technology.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with a small team.
