Job Title: Payroll Supervisor

Location: San Jose, CA 95110 (Hybrid)
Job Duration: 12+-month contract

Compensation: $35 - $45 Hourly on W2

Primary Skills: 

• 5-10+ years of payroll experience, including both U.S. and Canadian payroll processing.
• Experience working with ADP (Workforce Now or similar) and Workday Payroll.
• Hands on experience processing bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. federal/state and Canadian federal/provincial payroll regulations.
• Experience processing multi-state and multi-province payroll.
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across HR, Finance, and Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Payroll Processing
• Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for U.S. and Canadian employees using ADP and Workday.
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and special payments.
• Validate timekeeping data and resolve payroll discrepancies with managers and employees.
• Maintain payroll schedules and ensure timely payroll processing.
• Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local payroll regulations.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, including year-end documents such as W-2s, T4s, and ROEs.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required payroll documentation.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting payroll operations.
• Systems & Data Management
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records within Workday and ADP.
• Assist with payroll system testing, updates, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy across systems.
• Employee Support
• Respond to employee inquiries related to pay, deductions, taxes, and payroll policies.
• Provide guidance on payroll processes and escalate complex issues as appropriate. 

Description:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Sr. Payroll Administrator to support end-to-end payroll operations for employees across the United States and Canada. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ADP and Workday, strong knowledge of multi-state and multi-province payroll regulations, and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and outstanding employee support.
• This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who can independently manage complex payroll operations across both the United States and Canada while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a positive employee experience.
