Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire - $31.55 to $33.55/hr

A client of ours, a manufacturer of food products, is hiring a Maintenance Technician for its Lincoln, Nebraska plant. This role supports safe, efficient production by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and facility equipment.

Pay and Schedule

• $31.55 - 33.50 per hour base pay
• Additional $1.00/hr shift differential
• 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm

What You Will Do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair food processing, packaging, and facility equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, and electrical systems
• Diagnose equipment issues and minimize production downtime
• Support production line startups, changeovers, and equipment modifications
• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation, including temperature recorders, transducers, and electronic scales
• Complete maintenance documentation while following safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Perform welding, basic fabrication, machine shop work, and facility maintenance as needed

What You Bring

• At least 1 year of maintenance, mechanical, or technical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, or an associate degree in a related field
• Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, and electrical systems
• Willingness to learn and expand technical skills through training and continued development
• Commitment to workplace safety, food safety, and quality standards
• Positive attitude, professional communication, and ability to work collaboratively with production teams

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and move materials
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and elevated noise levels
