Cabinet Finisher

We are a construction firm specializing in high end residential and commercial construction. We have our own in-house cabinet shop and specialize in the design & fabrication of custom-made furniture & cabinetry. We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled cabinet finisher. Qualified candidate will

• Prepare cabinetry and furniture for finishing, including sanding, repairing defects, removing imperfections, and filling holes and cracks.
• Apply paint, stain, lacquer, varnish, and clear coats using hand and spray application methods.
• Mix and match colors, stains, and finishes to achieve the desired appearance.
• Remove existing finishes and properly clean and prepare surfaces for refinishing.
• Safely operate and maintain spray booth equipment and spray guns.
• Perform touch-ups and finish repairs.
• Inspect completed work for consistent color, coverage, and finish quality.
• Meticulously prep and sand surfaces (repairing defects, filling holes, grain-filling, and fixing imperfections).
• Execute seamless field and shop touch-ups.
• Accurately mix and match custom colors and sheens.
• Manage shop workflow efficiently to meet strict project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional cabinet or furniture finishing experience.
• Strong knowledge of finishing materials, surface preparation, and application techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge of wood species, finishing products, and application techniques.
• Experience operating a spray booth and working with professional spray equipment.
• Proficiency in color mixing, stain matching, and finish repairs.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with the cabinet shop team.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.
