Job Description

The General Production Worker supports ceramic and glass tile manufacturing by sorting, lifting, catching, and packaging tile while performing careful quality inspections. This role involves stacking tile from pallets onto conveyors, preparing and mixing raw materials for ceramic tile and glazes, operating production machinery, and performing basic assembly tasks. The position is highly hands-on, requires comfort working in a dirty and dusty industrial environment around large equipment and kilns, and demands strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Sort, lift, catch, and package ceramic and glass tile while continuously inspecting for quality control issues such as defects or inconsistencies.
• Stack tile from pallets onto conveyors, counting tiles accurately (e.g., stacks of 10) and repeating the process throughout the shift.
• Prepare and mix raw materials for ceramic tile and glazes according to established procedures and production specifications.
• Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently under general supervision.
• Perform basic assembly tasks as required to support tile production and packaging operations.
• Clean production lines when they are not running, including sweeping and spraying lines down with a hose.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area despite working in a very dirty, dusty, and wet environment.
• Follow all safety protocols when working around large industrial machines, kilns, and dusty areas, including proper use of face masks and respirators where required.
• Lift and move materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
