Structural Fitter

We are seeking a Structural Fitter to assemble steel frames, beams, and industrial equipment structures in a shop-based welding and fabrication environment. Reporting to the fabrication supervisor, this role works closely with the welding and fabrication team. It uses manual layout and fitting tools alongside digital measuring systems to support accurate, high-quality structural fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural fabrication blueprints.
• Prepare materials for fitting and assembly.
• Fit components accurately according to specifications.
• Assemble steel frames, beams, and industrial equipment structures.
• Coordinate welding activities with the welding and fabrication team.
• Perform dimensional inspections using manual and digital measuring systems.
• Support quality control throughout fabrication.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural fitting experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and structural steel fabrication.
• Experience with metal fabrication, precision measurement, and welding processes.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of quality inspection and workplace safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
