Assembly Trainee – Paid Training, No Experience Required

Vonore, TN | Full-Time | $17/Hour

Like working with your hands? Good at figuring out how things fit together? We’ll teach you the rest.

We’re hiring Assembly Trainees to learn mechanical assembly from the ground up. You’ll get paid while you learn to read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and build components that have to be done right. It’s a real entry point into manufacturing, with skills that stay with you for your whole career.

What you’ll do

• Assemble mechanical components using blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
• Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to make sure everything’s in spec
• Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely
• Run quality checks on your work using basic shop math
• Move and handle materials around the shop floor
• Follow safety procedures and wear the right PPE

What we’re looking for

• Some mechanical sense: you’ve fixed things, built things, or just like knowing how stuff works
• Comfortable with basic math (fractions, decimals, measurements, conversions)
• Good with your hands and patient with small, detailed work
• Willing to learn new skills, including reading technical drawings, soldering, and machining basics
• Comfortable with occasional heavy lifting
• Takes safety seriously

Nice to have, but not required

• Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production setting
• Familiarity with tape measure, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring tools
• Hands-on experience with power or pneumatic tools
