Job Title: Director of Service Operations | Commercial Electrical Services

Location: Denver, CO area

Compensation: $150k-$200k /yr Base + Bonus 

Position Overview
A well-established and growing commercial electrical contractor is seeking a Director of Service Operations to build, lead, and scale a dedicated electrical service division.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader who wants to create something from the ground up while leveraging the support, reputation, and customer base of an established organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and grow a commercial electrical service department
• Recruit, develop, and lead service electricians and support staff
• Create operational processes, dispatch systems, and service procedures
• Develop and expand preventative maintenance and service agreement programs
• Grow relationships with facility managers, property managers, building owners, and commercial clients
• Oversee estimating, budgeting, job costing, profitability, and service performance metrics
• Drive business growth while ensuring exceptional customer service
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN/Six Sigma principles) and technology adoption (ERP, Power BI, FIIX or other CMMS) to increase efficiency and transparency.
• Serve as primary escalation point for major outages, emergency responses and high-value client issues; lead root-cause analysis and corrective action.
• Partner with sales, business development and account management to grow service revenue, win maintenance contracts and expand lifecycle service offerings.

• Leadership experience within commercial electrical service operations
• Strong understanding of electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and small projects
• Experience managing field personnel and service teams
• Proven ability to develop customer relationships and grow revenue
• Knowledge of estimating, operational management, and financial performance
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and leading teams

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical industry experience.
• Commercial electrical service experience.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician background preferred.
• Experience as a Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, Service Account Manager, Special Projects Manager or similar leader.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience estimating commercial electrical service and small projects.
• Experience managing electricians and other field personnel.
• Working knowledge of labor productivity, job costing and gross margins.
• Strong customer-relationship and business-development skills.
• Experience developing recurring service customers and maintenance agreements.
• Comfort with field-service technology and mobile workflows.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to build systems, not only operate existing ones.
