Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of exceptional students while utilizing your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive, collaborative school environment. This contract opportunity is seeking an engaged SLP to work on-site, providing direct services and consultation to students ranging from 4th grade through age 22, primarily at the ACCESS to Education Center. You’ll enjoy working with small groups, as most classrooms feature six or fewer students and aides are available to offer additional support. The role comes with flexibility—part-time hours (17.5 hours/week) that can be broken into multiple days to fit your schedule, and potential to increase hours by pairing with another nearby school.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current Florida SLP license (CCC or CFY welcome)
  • Prior school-based experience preferred, especially with neurodiverse learners or students with significant support needs
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with aides, teachers, and the on-site Behavior Specialist
  • Compassion, patience, and a deep commitment to helping all students achieve their communication goals
  • Ability to provide direct therapy and consultative support in a classroom setting
  • Comfortable working with students on ACCESS points curriculum

In this position, you will:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group speech-language services in a dedicated therapy room
  • Support approximately 24 direct service students and consult for 12 additional students
  • Collaborate closely with an experienced SLP peer for smooth orientation and ongoing support
  • Communicate progress and consult with educational teams and families
  • Track data and maintain accurate documentation

Enjoy a welcoming atmosphere, an encouraging principal, and ready access to support from colleagues. As a valued contributor, your impact will reach across the ACCESS program and possibly into another local school, depending on your availability and scheduling preference.

If you have a passion for empowering students and are ready to make meaningful connections, apply now to explore this rewarding and flexible opportunity!
