Special Education Teacher | Broomfield, Colorado

Key Requirements:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license or documentation showing you are in the process of obtaining it (active status required for interviews)
• Minimum of one year of experience teaching in a classroom setting
• Resource caseload experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team and adapt to evolving student needs
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to providing individualized support

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to high school students on a resource caseload, ensuring their individual education plans (IEPs) are followed and progress is monitored
• Work closely with other educators, support staff, and administrators to develop and implement instructional strategies
• Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and relevant documentation
• Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
• Provide a supportive, inclusive learning environment while fostering student growth and independence
