Brush and Roll Painters (Shipyard)

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Brush & Roll Painter's for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o High school diploma or equivalent.

o Candidates must have at least one to three years of experience as a marine brush and roll painter applying epoxy and non-epoxy coatings, including surface preparation and cleaning using power tools.

o Applying coatings using brushes and rollers while maintaining the required coating thickness in mils.

o Using power tools for surface preparation and cleaning.

o Working in confined spaces, at heights, and around moving equipment.

o Using half-face and full-face respiratory equipment daily.

o Climbing vertical ladders, bending, squatting, and kneeling.

o Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.

o PPE: Hard hat, safety, glasses, respirator, steel toes, ear muffs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent.

School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:

All shifts.
