Responsibilities:

• Assess the current finance team structure, identify operational gaps, and propose improvements that align with the organization’s needs.
• Mentor and support finance staff, including less experienced leadership within the department, to improve processes and strengthen overall performance.
• Oversee financial reporting activities to ensure accurate, timely visibility into organizational performance and fiscal health.
• Review cash flow trends, capital usage, and other key financial indicators to help maintain stability across multiple care facilities.
• Contribute directly to accounting operations when necessary, including month-end close activities and resolution of complex financial issues.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve finance-related workflows, systems usage, and reporting consistency.
• Advise leadership on financial controls, budgeting priorities, and longer-term planning considerations for a focused, locally operating organization.• Demonstrated experience serving in a Chief Financial Officer or senior financial leadership capacity.
• Strong background in financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and capital management.
• Hands-on knowledge of month-end close and core accounting operations.
• Ability to evaluate finance department structure and recommend practical organizational improvements.
• Experience working with business systems and improving financial processes.
• Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles.
• Comfortable operating in both strategic and detail-oriented aspects of the role within a changing environment.
