Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education credential for Burrillville
• Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual student needs
• Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student on your caseload
• Facilitate instruction in core academic subjects and targeted intervention areas
• Collaborate with other educators, families, and service providers to ensure student progress
• Track and document student growth, adjusting plans as necessary to support continued development
• Utilize diverse teaching methods to reach students with varying abilities and learning styles
• Create a safe and welcoming classroom atmosphere that promotes independence and self-advocacy
