Instructional Aide - Gridley, CA

This full-time contract position offers 32.5 hours per week, working with an Exceptional Student Needs (ESN) caseload. As a dedicated “speech para,” you’ll play a vital role in helping students access and participate in their virtual speech therapy.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting strongly preferred
• Comfort with technology for assisting with virtual sessions
• Ability to bring students to the computer for scheduled therapy
• Skill in printing instructional materials and supporting session set-up
• Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with exceptional needs
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
• Ability to adapt quickly and work as an active member of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Support students during virtual speech therapy, including session preparation and hands-on assistance
• Ensure timely transitions to and from speech sessions
• Collaborate closely with speech-language pathologists and other staff
• Print and organize materials, reinforcing learning activities as directed
• Foster a positive, encouraging environment for students’ communication development
• Engage in ongoing coordination and communication with staff and families as needed
