Warehouse Laborer / General Warehouse Associate

Steinberger Floors is looking for a dependable, hardworking Warehouse Laborer to join our team. 

In this role, you will play an essential part in daily warehouse functions, including loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, preparing orders for delivery, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

No extensive prior experience is required—if you are reliable, work well on a team, and can handle a physically active workday, we will train you on our specific systems and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling & Staging: Load, unload, move, and stage incoming freight and outgoing products manually or using warehouse carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Order Preparation: Accurately pick, sort, pack, and label items according to pick sheets or digital inventory scanners.
• Safety & Maintenance: Keep warehouses organized, clean, and free of debris; promptly report safety hazards or damaged equipment to the supervisor.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with delivery drivers, showroom associates, and management to ensure timely operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
• Work Ethic & Punctuality: Proven record of reliability, punctuality, and arriving ready to work scheduled shifts.
• Communication Skills: Basic reading and math skills, with the ability to follow written and spoken instructions clearly.
• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred (Not Required):
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or logistics setting.
  • Experience operating material-handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, order pickers, or forklifts).
  • Driving commercial vans and pickup trucks.
