Software Release Leader
Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (Onsite)

- Lead and coordinate software release activities to achieve program objectives, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Serve as the primary interface between Software Release Teams, Electrical/Electronic (EE) Validation, Program Management, and external stakeholders.
- Review incoming software releases, software drops, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Identify and resolve software release issues in collaboration with component teams.
- Coordinate software testing schedules with Validation Teams and Program Management.
- Monitor testing progress, follow up on outstanding activities, and communicate release status to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to homologation requirements, regulatory compliance standards, testing procedures, and software requirements.
- Track project milestones, identify potential risks, and support timely issue resolution.
- Prepare and present progress reports using charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and other reporting tools as required by the Software Release Manager.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration across engineering, testing, and program management teams.
- Professional experience as a Software Developer, Test Engineer, Systems Engineer, or in a related software engineering role.
- Strong understanding of software release management, software development processes, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Knowledge of software integration, validation, and testing processes.
- Solid understanding of electronics, including hardware and software components.
- Experience coordinating software release activities and tracking project deliverables.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding documentation, testing, and regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of program management principles and software development lifecycles.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Project Management certification or related training.
- Familiarity with automotive software development and release processes.
- Experience with homologation and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of software release reporting, tracking tools, and project management dashboards.
