Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) to join our team in Calais, ME. The Surgical Technologist will be responsible for the safe and sterile setup and handling of surgical instrumentation during scheduled and emergency surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile surgical environment.

• Gather all required instruments, supplies, and equipment according to surgeons' pick sheets.

• Safely handle and maintain surgical instrumentation during procedures.

• Follow established surgical procedures, protocols, and safety standards.

• Perform clerical and other departmental duties as needed.

• Remain professional and effective in high-pressure situations.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and organizational information.

• Communicate effectively with department personnel, hospital staff, medical staff, sales representatives, and repair representatives.

• Support the organization's mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

• Current ORT certification required.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.

• Current Operating Room (OR) experience is essential.

• Current BLS/BCLS certification required.

• Active state license required.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
