Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Long-Term Care (LTC)

Job Description

John C. Fremont Hospital is seeking 6 experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support its Long-Term Care (LTC) team in Mariposa, California. This opportunity offers a chance to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive rural healthcare setting near Yosemite National Park.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of CNA experience, a valid California CNA certification, and an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification. We are looking for dependable professionals with strong patient care skills, reliability, and minimal requests for time off or scheduling accommodations.

Available Shifts

Day Shift: 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM (2 positions)

Mid Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (2 positions)

Night Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM (2 positions)

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor and document patients' conditions, vital signs, and changes in health status.
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, positioning, and other daily care needs.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition promptly to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation and follow facility policies and procedures.
• Support the healthcare team in delivering quality, compassionate long-term care.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CNA experience.
• Valid California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Minimal requests for time off and scheduling accommodations preferred.
