Wire Harness Assembler

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team in a wire harness assembly role. This position focuses on building, troubleshooting, and repairing cable assemblies on the manufacturing floor. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications to ensure high-quality cable builds.

Primary Responsibilities

• Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies.
• Utilize tools such as strippers, crimpers, and solder irons for cable manufacturing.
• Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other technicians to develop strategies and identify potential assembly issues.
• Perform basic troubleshooting to resolve signal and connectivity issues.

QualificationsMust-Have (Hard Skills)

• Current certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620.
• Current certification in J-STD-001.
• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in cable building and/or electrical/mechanical assembly.
• Working knowledge of tools and equipment used in the cable assembly process, such as crimpers and wire strippers.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess or be eligible to obtain a Final Secret Clearance.

Nice-To-Have (Hard Skills)

• Current certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 with space addendum.
• Current certification in J-STD-001 with space addendum.

Must-Have (Soft Skills)

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment, Projects, & Team Overview

• Work on the manufacturing floor in small groups to complete manufacturing tasks.
• Support cable build projects.
• Mechanically strong candidates have succeeded in this position.

Schedule

This is a 2nd shift position, Monday through Thursday, from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
