Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Job Type: Contract (No Benefits)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Schedule: 4 shifts per week; 40 hours per week. On-call coverage includes 1–2 weekday call shifts per week, one weekend call assignment every six weeks, and one working weekend shift every six weeks. Holiday call may be required.

Candidate Type: Local and Traveler Candidates Accepted

• Local: $55.00–$57.00 per hour

• Traveler: $55.00–$59.00 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with open-heart and vascular procedures, maintaining sterile technique, preparing surgical instruments, and supporting the surgical team during complex cardiovascular operations.

• Minimum 2 years of recent surgical technician experience.

• Current AHA BLS certification.

• CVOR experience preferred.

• Experience scrubbing open-heart and vascular procedures, including wired vascular cases.

• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and operating room procedures.

• Ability to maintain a sterile field and assist during complex cardiovascular procedures.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

• Availability for weekday, weekend, and potentially holiday on-call rotations.

• Scrub and assist during open-heart, cardiovascular, and vascular surgical procedures.

• Prepare the operating room, instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.

• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection prevention protocols.

• Anticipate surgeons' needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies.

• Ensure surgical equipment and supplies are ready for use.

• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia personnel, and other surgical team members.

• Participate in scheduled weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call rotations.

• Respond to call-ins and provide surgical coverage when needed.
