Job Description
A day in this role

Your shift begins with a blueprint on the bench and a MIG torch in hand. You review models and technical drawings, map out your sequence, and set up the weld parameters for the job. Metal is prepped, aligned, and tacked. You weld components in multiple positions using manual or semi-automatic tools, constantly watching puddle behavior and bead profile to prevent defects. As assemblies take shape, you verify joint quality against established standards, then move to finishing—grinding and polishing—to perfect form and fit. Throughout the day you keep your equipment in top condition, follow safety protocols, and sync with teammates to deliver innovative parts that power new equipment designs.
