In addition, the department experienced an unexpected resignation with a last working day of October 11, 2026, and currently has 1.9 vacant FTE positions with no active applicant pool. Total FTE deficit = 4.9 FTE

Failure to approve agency technologist support would significantly impact departmental operations, including challenges maintaining safe staffing levels, increased reliance on mandatory overtime for current staff, reduced ability to effectively support 24-hour operations, and a negative effect on team morale and employee engagement.
