A well-established employee-owned mechanical contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team. This organization has over 100 years of experience delivering large-scale HVAC and mechanical systems for complex commercial and institutional construction projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a design-build mechanical construction environment supporting engineering, project management, and field operations on large commercial, healthcare, and institutional projects.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities

• Assist with HVAC and mechanical system design for commercial construction projects

• Support design-build mechanical engineering efforts from preconstruction through installation

• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and field teams during project execution

• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals

• Assist with equipment selection, system layouts, and technical documentation

• Participate in coordination with architects, general contractors, and other engineering disciplines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• Experience with HVAC systems, MEP engineering, or mechanical construction preferred

• Knowledge of commercial building mechanical systems

• Familiarity with design-build project delivery is a plus

• Strong collaboration and communication skills
