About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Director that is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

As an Activity Director, you'll play a vital role in creating engaging experiences for our residents, enhancing their overall well-being, and contributing to our facility's consistent 5-star quality rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify and address resident needs and preferences

• Create and manage an activity calendar that ensures a balanced schedule of events that meets the needs and preferences of the residents

• Recruit and train volunteers to assist with activity programs

• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed

• Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident outcomes

Requirements:

• A passion for creating meaningful experiences for seniors

• Ability to work effectively with diverse age groups and ability levels

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience in activity direction or a related field is preferred

• Ability to work varying shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends

• Credentials as Activity Director Certified (ADC) with the state of Maine is preferred.

• Experience is preferred but not required for the right applicant.
