Diesel Truck Mechanic

Diesel Truck Mechanic Rayne, LA |$22-30/Hr. DOE | Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic for a local oilfield construction company in Rayne, LA. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience repairing and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

• Perform repairs on transmissions, air brakes, hydraulic systems, and other vehicle components.

• Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, brake repairs, and alignments.

• Read and interpret mechanical schematics to identify and resolve equipment issues.

• Maintain accurate repair records and communicate maintenance needs.

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Truck Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic required.

• Strong knowledge of diesel trucks, transmissions, air brakes, and hydraulic systems.

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs independently.

• Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.

• Familiarity with various makes and models of heavy equipment preferred.

• Automotive or diesel mechanic certifications are a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $22–$27 per hour, depending on experience.

• Hours: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Location: Rayne, LA
