Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA, Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, or Resident Care Aide, you will:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care

• Help residents with transfers, ambulation, and repositioning

• Take and document vital signs accurately

• Observe residents and report changes in condition to licensed nursing staff

• Assist residents during meals and with feeding when needed

• Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment

• Follow resident care plans and facility policies

• Work closely with RNs, LPNs, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team

• Provide exceptional service to residents and their families

CNA Qualifications

• Current and active Tennessee Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

• Previous CNA experience in skilled nursing, nursing home, rehabilitation, long-term care, assisted living, healthcare, or senior care preferred

• Compassion for elderly and geriatric residents

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Reliable and dependable

• Team-oriented attitude

• Commitment to high-quality resident care

• Ability to work assigned shifts and required weekend rotations
