Schedule

Monday-Friday Day Shifts

Standard Shift: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

Ambulatory Clinic / Endoscopy Shifts: Approximately 8-9 Hours

24-Hour Call Shifts: Weekdays and Weekends

Call Coverage Includes Rounding, Consultations, Admissions, and GI Procedures

No Block Schedule

Adult Patients (18 Years and Older)

Average Clinic Volume: Approximately 16 Patients Per Day

Outpatient Endoscopy Center Volume: Approximately 14-16 Patients Per Day

Hospital Census: Variable

Inpatient and Outpatient Gastroenterology Patients

Clinical Responsibilities

Provide Comprehensive Gastroenterology Services

Evaluate and Manage Adult Gastroenterology Patients

Conduct Outpatient Gastroenterology Clinic Visits

Perform Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Procedures

Perform Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)

Provide Inpatient Gastroenterology Consultations

Perform Inpatient Rounds

Manage Gastroenterology Admissions as Appropriate

Perform Outpatient Endoscopy Center Procedures

Perform Hospital-Based Outpatient GI Procedures

Provide 24-Hour General Gastroenterology Call Coverage as Assigned

Provide Emergency and Urgent Gastroenterology Services During Call

Coordinate Care With Other Gastroenterologists and Clinical Support Staff

Document Patient Evaluations, Procedures, and Treatment Plans in Epic and Applicable GI Procedure Software
