Job Description

Role: Data & Cloud Services Engineer
location: Plano, TX

Work Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card, or GC EAD preferred
W2 Requirement- No C2C, 1099, or third-party profiles accepted.

Our Client is seeking Data & Cloud Services Engineer with hands-on experience building and supporting AWS data lake solutions, Snowflake platforms, and Python-based data pipelines. Candidates should have experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and AI-assisted engineering tools.

Requirements

6+ years of cloud data engineering experience
AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and Lake Formation
Snowflake
Python
Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
CI/CD pipelines and AWS deployments
Familiarity with AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or agentic workflows

Use AI-assisted engineering tools appropriately to improve development productivity.

Additional Technical Experience

AWS Data Lake: Lake Formation, Glue, Step Functions, Lambda

Data Movement: AWS CLI, Python APIs, Spark, Boto3

Analytics: Athena, S3 Select, EMR, Redshift

Compute and Storage: S3, EC2

Scheduling: Control-M preferred

Programming: Python preferred; Java or Scala is a plus

CI/CD and Change Management: Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins, ServiceNow

Monitoring: AWS CloudWatch, Splunk

Preferred Qualifications

Snowflake Horizon Catalog
Databricks and Unity Catalog
Additional experience with Spark and cloud data analytics
