Title: ServiceNow Developer (Subcontract for Ark Technology Consultants)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, configure, and enhance solutions across the ServiceNow platform. This individual will support IT Service Management (ITSM), Vulnerability Management, workflow automation, integrations, and custom applications, partnering with IT, security, and business teams to improve processes and expand platform capabilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, test, and maintain solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
• Develop and enhance ITSM capabilities including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.
• Support Vulnerability Response / Security Operations (SecOps) processes, including vulnerability remediation workflows and integration with security tools.
• Build automated workflows using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and JavaScript.
• Develop and maintain Service Catalog items, forms, approval workflows, notifications, and user experiences.
• Build and support integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server.
• Develop and enhance custom ServiceNow applications and scoped applications.
• Support CMDB, Configuration Items, data quality, and relationships between services and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in ServiceNow upgrades, testing, releases, and deployment activities.
• Follow ServiceNow development standards, security practices, and platform governance.
• Partner with business, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to translate requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong experience with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
• Experience with ITSM modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Service Catalog.
• Experience developing workflows using Flow Designer and ServiceNow automation capabilities.
• Experience with REST APIs, integrations, and web services.
• Working knowledge of CMDB and Discovery.
• Experience with Vulnerability Response / SecOps strongly preferred.
• Experience with App Engine and custom/scoped application development preferred.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and service management principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• ServiceNow implementation certifications in ITSM, Security Operations, or Vulnerability Response are a plus.
