CDL-A Truck Driver - Grain Hauler (Home Daily)

Grain Roads, LLC / Bottlinger Grain is hiring CDL-A drivers based at our Hamilton, TX yard. Home every night.

PAY & BENEFITS

- $900 - $1,800 per week, paid by the load (based on distance and load mix). New drivers typically start around $900 - $1,200 per week on shorter routes; experienced drivers on longer runs earn up to $1,800 per week.

- 100% company-paid medical insurance ($0 employee premium).

- Home every night. Park your truck at our Hamilton yard, next to our own shop and fuel.

- Trucks with telematics and a dispatch app, plus spare trucks on site if yours is in the shop.

ABOUT THE JOB

We haul grain and agricultural commodities for local farms, elevators and feed mills within about 200 miles of Central Texas. You pick up your truck at our Hamilton yard each morning, run your dispatched loads, and park back in Hamilton at night.

- Drive a tractor with hopper-bottom trailer; load and unload grain (hopper gates, tarps).

- Follow dispatch through our app; check in at loading and unloading.

- Turn in scale and load tickets; complete pre- and post-trip inspections.

- Schedule: Monday - Saturday, typically 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, within DOT hours-of-service rules. Busier around harvest.

WHAT WE NEED

- Valid Class A CDL. Ag or hopper experience is a plus but not required. We train.

- Current DOT medical card; pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and FMCSA Clearinghouse query.

- Acceptable driving record (MVR) and background check.

- Live within about 30 minutes of Hamilton (Hamilton, Evant, Comanche, Hico, Gustine, Goldthwaite, Jonesboro and nearby).

- Able to climb, open hopper gates and tarps, and lift up to 25 lbs.

NEW TO TRUCKING?

Have a Class B or a CDL learner permit? Ask about our trainee program: you ride with an experienced mentor driver until you pass your CDL-A test, then drive on your own. Military veterans and recent CDL-school graduates are encouraged to apply.
