Concrete Form Carpenter/ Concrete Finisher

HardHat Workforce Solutions is hiring experienced Concrete Form Carpenters and Concrete Finishers for commercial construction projects.

Job Responsibilities

Concrete Form Carpenters:

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Measure, cut, build, and install wood and metal concrete forms.
• Install bracing, supports, and reinforcement.
• Assist with rebar installation and concrete pours.
• Strip and dismantle forms after concrete cures.

Concrete Finishers:

• Spread, level, screed, and finish freshly poured concrete.
• Operate bull floats, power trowels, screeds, and hand tools.
• Finish slabs, sidewalks, curbs, walls, and foundations.
• Set forms and install rebar or wire mesh.
• Cut control joints and apply curing compounds.
• Perform concrete patching, grinding, and repairs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous hands-on experience in concrete formwork or finishing required.
• Proficient with hand and power tools, including floats, trowels, screeds, and concrete saws.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand grades, elevations, and measurements.
• Knowledge of concrete mixes, curing methods, and control joint placement.
• Experience with commercial concrete construction.
• Ability to kneel, bend, lift, and perform physically demanding work.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
