Shipping Clerk Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk Assistant to support daily warehouse and shipping operations. This individual will be responsible for accurately processing orders, organizing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting with various operational tasks to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and willing to support the team wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Organize and process shipping orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Verify order accuracy and maintain shipment documentation.
• Assist with labeling, packaging, and staging outgoing shipments.
• Maintain organized shipping and inventory areas.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding order status and shipping priorities.
• Support inventory control efforts by identifying and reporting discrepancies.
• Operate warehouse equipment and utilize shipping systems as needed.
• Assist with additional warehouse and operational duties to support business needs.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Shipping Clerk, Shipping Assistant, Warehouse Associate, or similar role required.
• Experience with order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn shipping software and inventory systems.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using shipping platforms, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software.
• Previous experience working in a distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
• Valid California Driver's License preferred but not required.
