About the Role:
Red Robin in Vancouver, WA is looking for a talented and passionate Line Cook to join our kitchen crew! If you love the fast-paced energy of a restaurant kitchen and take pride in serving up quality food, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Red Robin's recipes, portioning, and quality standards
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, and sauté stations
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices
- Coordinate with kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate ticket times during high-volume service
- Stock, rotate, and organize ingredients and prep items at your station
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties, including cleaning and restocking
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless guest experience
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices (ServSafe certification a plus)
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume meal periods
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Positive attitude and a passion for delivering quality food consistently
