Veterinarian-General Emergency Medicine earn 150k+ 4-Day work week

Verdigris Pet Hospital & Emergency Care in beautiful New Bern, North Carolina, is seeking veterinarians to join our growing team!

Our hospital provides both general veterinary services and emergency care in a collaborative environment focused on quality medicine, compassionate patient care, and work-life balance.

We are hiring for two distinct veterinary opportunities:

General Practice Veterinarian – Daytime

Full-Time | 4-Day Workweek

Ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys building long-term client relationships and providing comprehensive, ongoing patient care.

• Daytime general practice and wellness care
• Preventive medicine, diagnostics, and treatment
• Ongoing case management, follow-ups, and client communication
• Full-time schedule to ensure continuity of patient care
• New graduates and experienced DVMs welcome

Emergency Veterinarian – Overnight

Full-Time Preferred | Part-Time Considered

Ideal for an experienced veterinarian who enjoys emergency medicine and managing urgent and critical cases.

• Overnight emergency veterinary care
• Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of emergency patients
• Fast-paced clinical environment
• Part-time opportunities may be considered for experienced ER veterinarians

Competitive Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $100,000–$150,000+, depending on experience and position
• Production-Based Compensation: 20%–22%, depending on role
• 4-Day Workweek for full-time positions
• Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• 4 weeks Paid time off and separate CE time off

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree
• North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility
• Emergency medicine experience preferred for overnight positions
