Auto Body Repair Technician

The Auto Body Repair Technician restores vehicles damaged in minor cosmetic and structural collisions, including insurance collision claims. This role follows OEM-certified procedures, I-CAR standards, insurance guidelines, and shop-specific procedures while working independently and collaborating with painters and a multi-technician team.

Responsibilities

• Assess collision damage and document repair requirements.
• Disassemble vehicles to support accurate inspection and repairs.
• Repair damaged body panels and perform frame alignment.
• Complete welding and parts replacement in accordance with applicable repair standards.
• Prepare surfaces for refinishing and coordinate paint-related work with painters.
• Use OEM repair procedures, frame measuring systems, and digital estimating platforms.
• Conduct quality inspections and complete repair documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair.
