RN PCU

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, cardiac-focused PCU
• Independently interpret cardiac rhythms and pass a Dysrhythmia Exam on the first attempt (paper-based, proctored, requiring calipers)
• Administer and manage common cardiac drips including Insulin, Milrinone, Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, and Nitroglycerin
• Manage patients with complex cardiac conditions including Heart Failure, A-Fib, Atrial Flutter, SVT, VTach, VFib, FVO, Chest Pain, HTN, Heart Transplant Patients, Congenital Heart Disease, and LVAD Patients
• Assist with and manage common cardiac procedures such as Right & Left Heart Catheterizations, TR Band Management, Sheath Removal/Management, Stent Placement, Valve Replacement Procedures, STEMI/NSTEMI Care, Pacemakers, ICDs, Cardioversions, Ablations, and Groin Site Management
• Perform chest tube management
• Care for patients without ventilators
• Manage frequent admissions/discharges and significant procedural volume
• Float to similar cardiac/PCU units as needed

• 2+ years of experience
