Pay Rate: $29.21 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Description

The Material Coordinator manages the receipt, storage, issuance, and replenishment of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials, spare parts, and maintenance supplies in a manufacturing environment. This role maintains accurate inventory records, monitors stock levels, supports material planning, and coordinates daily activities with material handlers to ensure supplies are available when needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the receipt, storage, issuance, and replenishment of MRO materials, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP, Microsoft Excel, and inventory management systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent stockouts.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
• Maintain organized stockroom areas and accurate inventory locations.
• Coordinate material movements and assign daily tasks to material handlers.
• Follow all safety procedures, good manufacturing practices, and company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Experience in MRO inventory management, materials coordination, maintenance storeroom operations, purchasing support, or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of spare parts management, inventory control, and material planning.
• Experience with ERP or CMMS systems, including SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools.
• Material handling equipment certification or the ability to obtain certification.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Work in a manufacturing, warehouse, and maintenance environment.
• Frequent walking through production and storage areas is required.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Occasional operation of material handling equipment is required.
• Must follow all applicable safety procedures and company requirements.
